{retorte petridish: join microorganism simulator}

Introduction, Graph, Current situation, Strain top ten, Create your own strain!, Frequently asked questions

You can join the petridish with your own bacteria strain! Enter the required data below and watch your bacteria grow, eat, duplicate und maybe extinct. Every strain is inserted exactly once except when every single strain extincts. In that case, the simulation is reset and every strain can start from anew.

The values you enter below are only the start values of your strain. As soon as your bacteria 'live' in the petridish, they eventually divide and, with some probability, mutate, so that the descendands will have slightly different characteristics. These mutations can make your strain stronger, or as well be a failure. In that case, the branch will extinct.

Note that after the successful submission of a strain you won't be able to edit its properties anymore.

 Identification
Name of your bacteria strain (i.e. 'Streptococci'). No square brackets allowed ('[',']').
Name of the Person who created the strain (You! :)) (i.e. 'Peter').

 Main Characteristica
 The sum of the following 6 values has to be exactly 180! Fill in natural numbers from [0,180].
Speed. How fast can they swim?
Strength. How much energy do they have? How well do they fight?
Food diversity. How picky are they about the food? Bigger value = more flexible!
Perception range. How far can they uh, smell?
Aggression rate. How likely is it that a bacterium of your strain attacks an enemy bacterium? (Here, the allowed range of values is [0,100])
Reproduction rate. How often/fast a bacterium of your strain will duplicate? (Fill in natural number out of [0,100].)

 Quotes
 Here you can add some quotes if you like. Occasionally, your bacteria will tell these to other bacteria or to a visitor. If you would like to add only one quote i.e., just leave the other fields empty.
